Login Information Current User Your login name lets us identify you as a unique shopper. You will enter a screen where you will be asked for your existing Customer ID and Password. All of your existing billing and shipping information, as it appears in your existing record, will be entered for you automatically. Just enter your login name, and password. That's it! You can now begin ordering online. New User With an account, you can store your billing and shipping information. This information will automatically appear where necessary during the purchase and close out process, so you will not be required to re-type it each time you make a purchase! Setting up an account also enables you to createa Favorites list for fast, easy ordering. We recommend that you choose an easy-to-remember login name made up of 3 to 20 characters. Choose a password also made up of 3 to 20 characters, which others are not likely to guess. Your password cannot be the same as your user id. Be sure to write down your login name and password and store them in a secure place where you can find them later should you forget one or both. We ask that you re-type your password in order to confirm the exact password that you want to use. Once this has been entered, you can now continue your account setup. The asterisk-marked fields are mandatory fields that must be completed in order for you to continue to access the web site. Helpful Hints Browser Requirements Our website is currently accessible using most versions of Internet Explorer and Mozilla-based browsers, including Firefox version 2.0, and Netscape. If you currently do not have one of these programs running, please upgrade your browser. Safari users may have some difficulty accessing certain areas of the site. Resolution In order to view this web site in it's full capacity, it is recommended that your resolution be set at 1024 X 768. Home By clicking the Home button, you will be returned to the page that was originally displayed once you logged in. Contact Us The Contact Us button enables the user to find contact infromation and send an e-mail concerning any questions or comments regarding the website. Buying Products Product Search The product search box, available at the top of every page, lets you quickly enter a keyword, product number, or manufacturer name or product number that consists of at least two characters. We then quickly return to you a list of products that are related to any of the keywords or number that you have entered. Search Within Results If you would like to narrow your search results, you can use the "Search Within Results" option. After searching, check off the "Search Within Results" box, and enter a second term into the search box. This will list all previuosly returned results that also include the second search term. Submit ChangesIn order to recognize any modifications that you have made within the Store Features and View Cart options, it is required to click on the Submit Changes button that is located throughout the system. Once this button has been selected, any changes that have been made will now be updated. Placing Items in Your CartJust as you use a shopping cart in the physical world, you use your online cart to gather the products you want to purchase while shopping online. But our cart is smarter than the one you use at a store: it automatically keeps track of the items you've selected and how much those items cost. If in fact quantity break pricing does exist for a specific product, the break prices will be displayed on the product line. Once you have selected one or more products you would like to purchase, enter the quantity in the Quantity box. Click the "Submit Changes " (to add the items to your cart). You can change the quantities of items in your Cart by replacing the number in the box labeled Quantity or using the (–) and quantity to subtract quantities, or a (+) and quantity to add quantities to your existing cart. EX: Current Cart Qty. = 10, to add 5 more of this specific product, enter +5 in the Qty box. Once you have clicked the “Submit Changes” button, the Cart quantity will now display 15. If you currently have a default quantity setup for this particular product that is currently in your cart, the cart quantity will be the quantity used to add to or deduct from. Once this quantity has been changed and "Submit Changes" have been selected, your cart quantity will be updated as well as the quantity currently on your order pad. If you decide you don't want to purchase an item, you can remove it completely from your cart by replacing the quantity with 0 and clicking "Submit Change". When you have added all of the items you want to your cart, you now have the option to view your cart contents, or proceed to Checkout. Mark For Favorites To
automatically add specific items to your personalized favorites list, create
a √ by clicking directly on the Mark For Favorites located to the right
of the product price, and clicking the Submit Changes button. To automatically
remove any products from your shopping list, simply remove the √ by
again clicking directly on the Mark For Favorites, and click the Submit Changes
button. Adding items to your favorites list can be done while browsing products
or while viewing your shopping cart. There is only one favorites list allocated
per user. Store Features Store Features saves you time and energy by making your online shopping faster and easier. We do this by providing you with the ability to personalize a favorites list for future reference, and allowing you to view specials and clearance items at the click of a button. Favorites The Favorites list is a personalized list that you create by utilizing the Mark For Favorites box. This enables you to view and purchase multiple products in one place with no searching. They’re great for quickly reordering items you purchase frequently. Clicking on Favorites will display what you currently have selected for your personalized list. Here, you can choose from the list that you have already created, or you may delete items or change quantities of particular products as necessary. There is only one Favorites list allocated per user. Clearance The Clearance button will display any products that may be marked as clearance that are currently available. In addition to regularly stocked items, clearance items can also be added to your Favorites list. Specials The Specials button will display any current promotional items that are available for purchase at that time. In addition to regularly stocked items, promotions can also be added to your Favorites list. New Products The New Products button displays any new products that are now available to be purchased. Similar to regularly stocked items, new products can also be added to your Favorites list. Quotes There are two ways to enter a quote. 1. Quick Quote : The Quick Quote button is displayed on the left-side menu. This will take you to a form that you can submit to a Techni-Tool representative. 2. Go through the ordering process, as if you were going to order the items for which you want to receive a quote. In the checkout screen, you will see a drop-down box titled "Is this an Order or a Quote?". Select Quote and enter as an order. You will now be able to view this quote in "Open Quotes", and also convert this quote to an order in the future. Any quotes placed by a customer in a non-web transaction will not automatically appear online in the Your Account features. Quick Order Entry This option allows you to enter specific products by the exact product or customer part number for a more rapid order entry process. Once you have entered a specific product or part number, tab or click on the quantity field to enter the desired quantity for this particular product. Note* Pressing Enter from the Product/Description line will 'not' move the cursor to the quantity field. Once you have tabbed over to the quantity field, if there were matches found for the product entered, the description will be displayed. If the line item you have entered is complete, click the Update Line Item button, this will display your selection below. As you continue to enter products and quantities, your selections will accumulate in the section below. At this point, if there are any modifications that need to be made for a specific line item, simply click on the product to be changed and update as desired. Once you have completed your order you can then click the Checkout button to add these items to either a new or an existing cart. From here you can continue with the Checkout process as usual. This option, allows you to enter multiple specific products by the exact product number for a more rapid order entry process. Once you have entered a specific product or part number, tab or click on the quantity field to enter the desired quantity for this particular product. If the line item you have entered is complete, click the Update Line Item button. This will display your input below. As you continue to enter products and quantities, your selections will accumulate in the section below. At this point, if there are any modifications that need to be made for a specific line item, simply click on the product to be changed and update as desired. Once you have completed your order you can then click the Validate Products button. The webstore will list all valid products, and notify you of any invalid products you selected. Click the "Update Cart" button to add these items to either a new or an existing cart. From here, the page will close, returning you to the main page, where you can continue with the Checkout process as usual. View and Adjust Cart Contents View Cart by clicking the View Cart button, you will now have the option to view, confirm and/or adjust your selected purchase quantities. The items in your cart will be saved so you can purchase them later. If you leave, you'll find them in your cart when you return. You can change the quantities of items in your Cart by replacing the number in the box labeled Quantity or using the (–) and quantity to subtract quantities, or a (+) and quantity to add quantities to your existing cart. EX: Current Cart Qty. = 10, to add 5 more of this specific product, enter +5 in the Qty box. Once you have clicked the “Submit Changes” button, the Cart quantity will now display 15. If you decide you do not want to purchase an item, you can take it completely out of your cart by clicking on the Delete Item box, and selecting the Submit Changes button. This automatically removes the item from your cart. After reviewing your cart contents and verifying you've got the items and quantities you want, you may continue to shop by entering a new item in the Product Search or begin the completion process of this order by clicking on the Checkout button. Delete Item Box is located within the View Cart option. This automatically removes items from your cart, which you do not wish to purchase at this time. Click directly on the Delete Item box to create a √ and click on the Submit Changes button. If this is also marked as a Mark For Favorites item, it will remain on your Favorites list, even if you choose to delete it from your cart. Please note that once a product has been deleted, it can only be put back in your cart by selecting it again on within the Order Pad and clicking the Submit Changes button. Checking Out Checkout After you have selected the items you want to purchase, you may begin the order completion. Checkout is a simple process that can be done by clicking on the Checkout button located at the top of the page, or within the View Cart option. From either one of these selections, you will then be brought into the completion screen. The running product total of your pending order, is displayed in the Cart Amt field, located under the Product Search option. This amount reflects the product total only; this does not include shipping and handling charges or tax. Once you have completed the necessary fields, for the shipping and credit card information, you can now submit your order. Based upon your user id, you may have the option to submit your selected products as a temporary quote, and submit it as an actual order at a later date. If you have selected to submit the items as an actual order at this time, click the Submit Order button. A message will be displayed with a Sales Order number, to notify you that your order has been successfully submitted. Your Account Customers who have set up an account can use our order inquiry features, a powerful and easy way to refer to a chronological record of your purchases. Orders will show you all the pending open orders. Invoices will display any invoices on file. Quotes will display all the quotes that have been submitted. To see more detailed information about a particular order, double click on the selected order, invoice or quote number that you would like displayed. Please note that only one detail screen can be open at a time. Open Orders This option allows you to view your open orders, including the order numbers, order dates, PO numbers, Release numbers, Job numbers, Totals and Status of any open orders that have been entered for the customer that this user id is attached to. This is where you want to look for an order if you just placed it. To view the detail of an open order, double click on the Order number of the particular order to display more information. Order HistoryThis option allows you to view information regarding past orders, such as order numbers, dates, invoice numbers and dates, ship dates, p/o, release, and job numbers as well as invoice totals. Double click on the Invoice number of the particular order in order to display more detailed information such as shipping and backorder information. In addition to the detailed information regarding this invoice, this screen also includes an Additional Options button. Within this option you have two additional features, Shipment Tacking and Mark All For Cart. The Shipment Tracking feature will display the carrier name and tracking number as well as enable you to link to the carrier in order to get additional tracking information for this order. The Mark All For Cart feature allows you to select all items listed on the order to be added to your current cart with one click rather than having to select each item individually. Specific invoice numbers may not underlined, demonstrating that the detail of this invoice cannot be viewed. These particular invoices are invoices that are not considered product related. This type of invoice may contain manual entries, accounting corrections, credit memo's etc., therefore would not have any product information available to be displayed. Open QuotesThis option allows you to view quote information such as Quote, PO, and Release numbers, and Totals and Status’s of any invoices that have been entered for the customer that this user id is attached to. To view the detail of a quote, double click on the Quote number of the particular order to display more information. Invoice History This option allows you to view the Order and Required dates, Order, PO, and Release numbers, Totals and Status’s of any invoices that have been entered for the customer that this user id is attached to. To view the detail of an invoice, double click on the Invoice number of the particular order to display more information. Specific invoice numbers may not underlined, demonstrating that the detail of this invoice cannot be viewed. These particular invoices are invoices that are not considered product related. This type of invoice may contain manual entries, accounting corrections, credit memo's etc., therefore would not have any product information available to be displayed. Product History This option allows you to search for any product previously ordered. Just enter the product number and hit enter. The results will display any orders that contain the product number. Click on the Order number for details. |
